Shop
- Greenan Beach is part of the Ayrshire Coastal Path.
- A section of the walk is from Greenan Castle to the town of Ayr.
- On a sunny day it is a very pleasurable walk and easy on the foot.
- The walk is about two and half miles along the beach and surrounding paths.
- Greenan Castle was originally a promontory fort converted into a motte-and-bailey in the 12th century.
- In the 15th century a tower house was built by the Lord of the Isles and was later passed onto the Kennedy family.
- This section of the coastal path is also very popular with nature enthusiasts.
