The Yorkshire Dales National Park covers most of the Yorkshire Dales.
Most of the park is within North Yorkshire with a sizable area in Cumbria and a small part in Lancashire.
The area has a wide range of activities for visitors.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park is a paradise for hikers, with many short and long walks.
Walks such as the Pennine way, the Coast to Coast walk and the Dales Way to name but a few, show the diversity of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
In 2020 the national park was named an 'International Dark Sky Reserve'. This means that the area has low levels of light pollution with good conditions for astronomy.
The Ingleton Waterfall Trail is my first offering on my website showing the splendors of The Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The four and a half mile trail boasts some of the most spectacular waterfall and oak woodland scenery in the UK, truly encapsulating nature at its best.
The paths are well maintained with good signage and have refreshments stalls at the half way point of the walk.
A sizeable car park is at the entrance to the trail.
