Goatfell is the highest mountain in Arran.
When reaching the summit of Goatfell it is the perfect viewpoint to gaze across the island and out to sea.
On a clear day you can see Ireland from the top of Goatfell.
The mountain stands sentinel above Brodick Castle and reaching the summit takes two to five hours.
The Goatfell property also includes 2,400ha of mountain environment and moorland including Glen Rosa, a perfect example of a landscape shaped by glaciers.
The National Trust of Scotland is working hard to maintain the well-trodden footpaths of Goatfell as well as restoring peatlands to help mitigate climate change.
The Arran Whitebeams is one of the rarest trees in the world and can be found on Goatfell.
Golden Eagles can be spotted near the summit of Goatfell.
One day I might reach the summit depending on the weather forecast.
